As you may have heard there is some sad news for Mercury. December 18th was Mercury's last show for awhile at Nick's Fat City. Guitarist Eric Gadrix has decided to leave to pursue some other avenues in his life. While all are saddened by his departure, we are also happy for him as he takes other roads. Mercury has vowed to be back on track when a replacement can be found. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled and be sure to also visit www.mercuryband.com for Mercury's return! We will miss them in the interim!

MERCURY

Mercury have been rocking around the area for a few years now and have gathered a small but loyal (and growing) fanbase by playing anywhere and everywhere and writing great songs that range from slower and ominous tunes like Out of the Black and Murder Me to fast paced crowd-pleasers like Paralyze and Spin. Paralyze and Hollow Man being two of my favorites (no, it's just a great song!)

Mercury have even been out and around playing two-man acoustic shows showcasing many musical styles and the skills of Eric Gadrix (lead guitar) and Justin Morris (vocals and guitar). I happen to have been present at one in East Brady PA of all places and then at Nick's Fat City in Pittsburgh where I was able to obtain a recording of this rare treat! Covers of songs from Toto's Africa, to Whitesnake Here I Go Again, to Dennis Leary's hugely famous Asshole and At a Medium Pace from Adam Sandler. The guys of course did great acoustic versions of some of their songs such as Paralyze and Razorblade
